The Giovani® brand wool dryer balls are mainly used to speed up the drying of laundry, to soften it as a natural substitute for fabric softener or even to scent the laundry with a few drops of laundry perfume dripped on them. The balls mechanically stratify the laundry and thus improve air circulation in the dryer and reduce drying time. You won't find a better quality product of this kind on the market thanks to the fact that our dryer balls are handmade from selected sheep wool from Slovak farms and contain no other substances, only pure sheep wool. Classic textile or artificial dryer balls contain chemicals that are supposed to soften the laundry, but our 100% wool balls do it without and do it naturally. Usage:
Place the wool balls in the tumble dryer with the freshly washed laundry and turn on the desired programme. When the program is finished, remove the wool balls and let them dry spontaneously. You can also leave them in the tumble dryer with the door ajar after use.
The more wool balls you put in the dryer, the faster the laundry will dry. Ideally, it is recommended to use 2-6 balls when tumble drying. Giovani® wool balls, thanks to their high quality and composition of real 100% sheep's wool, increase drying efficiency to the maximum even when using fewer balls.
They are reusable. They can officially withstand up to 1500 drying cycles. (Unofficially, they last a lifetime. This is also an advantage if such a product is composed of real sheep's wool of select quality.)
Don't have a dryer? Do not worry. Giovani® dryer balls will find their use in your home too. After washing, place them in the laundry basket with the washed laundry for a while. The balls will effectively absorb moisture even while you are "waiting" to hang the laundry.
100% SHEEP WOOL
TIP: Drizzle a few drops of Giovani® Laundry Perfume on the wool ball before turning on the dryer. The laundry will smell even more fragrant.
Let the perfume soak into the balls well before putting them in the dryer. The Giovani® laundry perfume itself is so intense that it can withstand drying in the dryer, and the laundry will not lose its scent when washed. But if you still want to intensify it even more, or if you don't use the perfume at all when washing, you can use it together with the wool balls in the dryer. You might just get. Your laundry will be fragrant and soft as our balls also replace fabric softener.
Choose the colour of the embroidery on the balls according to which Giovani® perfume you use. Anyway, you can also alternate the perfumes dropped on the dryer balls on individual pieces. However, the scents may be slightly mixed by this process and may not be perfectly unique.

Care:
In case of small lumps on the surface of the balls, remove them with scissors or a lint remover. In any case, the Giovani® balls do not develop creases to the same extent as ordinary and inferior quality dryer balls.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
The balls are made by hand using the wet felting method (processing the wool with warm water and soap).
"We make Giovani® dryer balls by hand from domestic sheep's wool. The first important step in their production is the shearing of the sheep, during which care must be taken to immediately separate high-quality and low-soiled wool. The shorn wool is then washed by hand in warm water to remove soluble impurities and lanolin. The washed wool is then dried in the sun for several days on fixed screens. Coarse dirt and soiled unprocessed wool are used in compost. If we only need a small amount of combed wool, we use a hand drum combing machine. For larger quantities of wool, we already use large machine combing machines at the Roziak farm in Zvolen or at the Woollen Manufactory near Krupina. Here they produce wool pellets from the wool residues, which are used as fertiliser. The combing process produces so-called carded wool, which is then hand-rolled into a ball weighing 40 grams. The wool ball is first shaped evenly with a felting needle and then knitted in soapy water. After drying, the ball has to be shaped to the desired shape and the residues of dry grass and black wool have to be removed. Now the ball is finally ready for a virtually endless life in the clothes dryer."
